What can I say? Unbelievable, The cast and crew blew me away. I was not knowing what to expect, other than the usual passion play plotline, but ...Oh My God (no pun intended), it was remarkable. The singing was absolutely first rate, even some outstanding jewish dancing, fitting for the time period. I have seen dozens of Branson shows, and this was without a question, the best. Not so much because of the religious aspect, which was very moving, but the production was so first rate. The staging, lighting (best in Branson), props, decor, etc, were unbeatable! I saw many people leaving the theater in tears. I've been to Broadway in New York, Toronto and Chicago, and the folks at The Promise have got something to be very proud of. It ranks right up there with the absolute best in the nation. This year, I was told, is a brand new cast, new music, new writing, costumes, stages, etc. I just can't say enough about it!!!!!! BRAVO !!!!!!!!!!!! |
